Andrianblue Thor wooden speargun
There’s a reason traditional spearguns have been hunting the same waters for decades. Not because nothing better came along but because when something works this well, you don’t change it.
Not every spearo wants a roller. Some prefer the purity of a traditional system.
Fewer moving parts, straightforward maintenance, and the kind of reliability that comes from decades of proven design. The Thor is built for them.
A classic two banded speargun done right. Thor delivers everything you need and nothing you don’t. Easy to use, simple to rig, and built to last with the same premium materials and craftsmanship that define every Andrianblue speargun.
For shorter lengths, it pairs beautifully with a longer Odin, giving you a complete setup for any situation the sea throws at you. A very common pair is Odin 110 + Thor 90.
Built to perform and last. Ready to dive.
Andrianblue Thor can be configured as an all-around speargun for almost any situation, depending on the length and setup. It offers the perfect balance between mobility and stability during the shot, with an ergonomic grip available for both right and left handed spearos.
The speargun comes fully rigged and ready to get in the water.
The body is built with premium Teak Wood with an epoxy poured track and heel for maximum durability. The rubber band attachment points feature epoxy poured holes, a detail that significantly increases durability and protects the wood at one of the highest stress areas of the gun.
All metal parts are stainless steel 316.
The trigger mechanism is the Ermes double roll wings, one of the finest available on the market.
Threaded stainless steel inserts are used in every area where screws are fitted.
The reel is fitted with polyester line at 1.5mm or 2mm.
Every Thor ships equipped with the Andrianblue Astrid Reel, a Sigal Sub HRC shaft in 6.5mm, 7mm or 7.5mm, and two pairs of Sigal Sub Extreme rubber bands.
Choosing Your Length
Thor 80
The most maneuverable option. Built for the kind of hunting that demands you go where the fish hide, deep inside cracks, holes, and tight structure where no longer gun can follow. If you spend your dives working the reef up close, reading every shadow and every gap, the 80 is the tool for the job.
Thor 90
The short all around option. Built for low visibility conditions, tight reef hunting, and rocky terrain where a longer gun would work against you. If your dives keep you close to the rocks and you rely on proximity rather than distance, the 90 is your gun. Also a natural partner for a longer Odin when you want a complete two gun setup.
Thor 100
The middle ground, and for many spearos, the only length they’ll ever need. The 100 gives you decent range for open water shots without sacrificing the handling you need around structure. If you’re not sure which length fits your style, start here.
Thor 110
Built for range. The 110 earns its place in clear water where fish are wary and distances are long. Open water ambushes, reef edges, and the kind of hunting where the shot is long enough to make you double think about it. If you know your dives demand distance and you prefer a conventional 2 banded speargun over the invert roller, this is where the Thor 110 reaches its full potential.
Recommended setups
Light Setup – 2×14.5mm / 6.5mm shaft
The easiest loading configuration for the Thor. Built for shallower dives and active hunting where ease of use matters more than raw power. Quick reloads, lower recoil, and a more forgiving shot. Ideal when you’re targeting smaller, faster-reacting fish with close shots where shaft speed matters more than penetration at longer distance. A great starting point for the spearo of the shallow zone, and a reliable choice whenever the conditions call for a lighter touch.
Standard Setup – 2×16mm / 7mm shaft
The sweet spot. This is the configuration we recommend for most situations and most spearos. A well-balanced combination of power, range and loading effort that covers the majority of what the sea will ask of you. Deeper dives, larger fish, longer distances, the Standard Setup handles it all without pushing you to your limits.
Maximum Power Setup – 2×17.5mm / 7.5mm shaft
Everything the Thor has to offer. This is the heaviest configuration we recommend and it is not for everyone. Loading is demanding, recoil is significant, particularly in shallower water, and it earns its place only when you need maximum penetration on bigger fish at depth. If you know you need the extra power and can handle the 17.5mm bands, this setup will not let you down.
Handle Options
The handle is your only connection to the speargun, so we took it seriously. Our ergonomic handles are available in 5 options: right and left handed in standard and large size, and universal.
The standard size fits the majority of divers comfortably. The large size was developed after feedback from our community and is aimed at spearos with bigger hands, or those who dive in very cold water wearing very thick gloves and need the extra volume to maintain a secure, natural grip. If you’re unsure which size fits you, reach out before ordering and we’ll help you decide.
The universal grip is the practical choice for spearos who share their speargun with a buddy who uses the opposite hand, or for anyone who simply wants the flexibility of a neutral grip.
Finish options
Teak Oil
A natural, living finish that grows with your speargun. Teak oil enhances the raw beauty of the wood and keeps it looking exactly as nature intended, but it asks something in return. It needs regular maintenance throughout the season to stay fresh, and minor scratches are easy to touch up yourself at home. Choose teak oil if you love the ritual of caring for your gear, prefer the warm, natural look of an oil finish, and enjoy having a hands-on relationship with your speargun.
When selecting the teak oil finish, you have two options for the handle. The first is a matching teak oil finish. The handle is oiled in the same way as the body, keeping the look consistent and natural throughout. The second option is an anti-slip coating. We apply epoxy resin mixed with glass beads to create a grippy textured surface that provides a more secure grip.
Epoxy + Marine Polyurethane Coating
A hard, high-gloss finish that lets the wood grain speak for itself, with almost no effort on your part. Our coating includes UV protection filters to guard against sun damage, and the only maintenance it needs is a rinse after every dive. It outlasts teak oil significantly, provided the gun is handled with care. The one thing to know: if it ever needs to be reapplied, it’s a job for a skilled craftsman, not a DIY afternoon. Choose this finish if you want maximum protection, a showroom look, and a speargun that takes care of itself.
Refer to the drawing for speargun dimensions and shaft length for each speargun length.
